A fine piece of weaving furniture, our custom weaving stations are made from local, sustainably logged wood and coated in an all-natural oil and beeswax finish. Made using solid wood construction (all the way down to solid wood dowels for holding yarn tubes) and good craftsmanship, they're pivoted for easy access to yarn and hold up to 40 four inch tubes of warp. There is ample space on the counter top for a swift and ball winder. Each winding station is sanded to a silky smooth finish and will add beauty and character to your weaving space!

The stand pictured is made of poplar (central frame), natural edge maple (counter top & feet), and red oak (central swivel unit). The counter tops may come with knots and unique character. You can request natural edges, as shown in the example photo, or simple square edge design. We offer a selection of wood species, each with its own unique character. The shop special is a mix of wood species.

Approximate measurements:
Height - 42 1/2"
Counter top - 24" long x approx. 11" wide (natural edge tops will vary)
Feet width - 18.5"
Stands weighs approximately 20-30 lbs. depending on wood species
Minimal assembly required

*does not include swift and ball winder.

About the wood:

The wood used to make this product was harvested either on our family farm or a private woodlot within a 50 mile radius. We harvest trees during the winter when the ground is frozen and there is lesser chance of damage to the forest floor. This, too, is the time all our little critter friends are hidden away in their winters haven.

Trees are selectively cut using the ‘worst-first” method, and gingerly drug out with the help of a logging cart and our team of Suffolk draft horses. Logs are then taken to the farm’s sawmill, milled into lumber, and kiln dried.

Once the lumber has reached the proper moisture content it is turned into beautiful, functional products for all to enjoy! We intentionally select out lumber with beautiful character in the grain, so each piece has a unique appeal.
