This coat rack was made from the wood of a damaged tree we pulled out of our neighbor's woods. To this day, we cannot say exactly what species it is. The outer bark is a brilliant red-orange, somewhat like sassafras, but without the sassafras scent or inner wood. This tree was most likely hit by lightning or inflicted by disease at some point causing it to curl and bend. This is what gives this rack its unique shape, almost duck- or bird-like. The three cast iron hooks have been thoroughly coated in a high-quality paint to prevent any rust from occurring shall they get wet. It mounts securely to the wall via three keyhole pockets at back.
Measures 39-3/4" from end-to-end x 6 - 7" high
