A unique jewelry rack to display your most cherished pieces of jewelry.
Made from red oak that had been standing dead, it displays blackish-green streaking along the grain from blue-green algae that had set into the tree while standing. This particular oak had either been struck by lightning, or had damage otherwise. The wound openings collected water, which in turn made an ideal growth situation for the algae (aka little wood artists). No concern here...this piece is rock solid, and the algae is no longer active!
The eleven hooks are horse shoe nails. They aren't perfect, but they aren't used (for if they were they'd be bent, cut, and rusted). Our horses don't mind them being used for other purposes. As for us, we love the look! They are made from a soft steel and can rust if gotten wet.
